How does SniffTest check if a website is a scam?

SniffTest runs 17 checks in parallel, including Google Safe Browsing, IPQualityScore fraud intelligence, domain age via WHOIS, SSL certificate analysis, brand impersonation detection, phishing blocklists (URLhaus, OpenPhish, PhishTank), review database lookups, and community forum mentions, and combines the results into a risk score from 0 (clean) to 100 (danger).

Does SniffTest store the URLs I check?

For a normal check, nothing is saved once you are done. When you copy a link to share your result, SniffTest stores an anonymous snapshot (checked URL, verdict, signals, reason, and timestamp) so your permalink can always show the same result. No account is required and no cookies are used to track you.

Can SniffTest check QR codes?
